Neo Nazi Leader Planned Charlottesville Rally While Staying at Trump Hotel








White supremacist Richard Spencer frequently stays at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., where he planned the “Unite the Right” rally which took place in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The revelation was buried in the final paragraph of a report published by The New York Times on Friday.
Spencer gained national notoriety after a video showed him shouting “Hail Trump!” during a post-election rally as members of his audience performed the Nazi salute. The 39-year-old extremist has long called for the transformation of the United States into a white-ethno state.
Other known far-right customers of Trump’s hotel include Nigel Farage, the former leader of the UK Independence Party who once blamed “foreigners with HIV” for the financial burdens on Britain’s National Health Service (the real culprit is austerity policy).
President Trump issued controversial remarks in the days following the Charlottesville protest in an attempt to distance himself from the far right, including claims that there there was violence on “both sides” and “some very fine people on both sides,” prompting the satirical news site The Onion to publish an article titled “Trump Blasts Critics Who Judge Neo-Nazi Groups By Most Extreme Members.”
